• Richard has several years of experience in teaching Guitar lessons at all levels.
• He has a keen appreciation of working with beginners; finding it gratifying to instill good techniques right from the start.
• Developed an innovative method of teaching guitar to make it easier for students to use scales in order to improvise and create songs using chords.
• Created his own "Chart of scales and chords". It is more user friendly and easier than most academic books.
• Richard's guitar compositions were published by Hal Leonard and Alfred Music in Canada and in the USA.
• Several of his compositions are included on many of Liona Boyd's albums.
